has three daughters, Jenne, Claire and Anna. Most evenings, he can be found attending
or coaching one of their many activities.
My View
"My practice includes general gynecology with emphasis on minimally invasive
surgery. I feel strongly that patients need to know all the options regarding their
care, especially the most current 'state-of-the-art' treatments. I enjoy teaching
colleagues and instructing patients about advances in the field of gynecology. I
have had the honor and privilege of being invited to teach and perform newer surgical
techniques all over the United States, as well as in Asia and Europe. My special
interests include the evaluation and treatment of urinary incontinence, pelvic floor
support, pelvic pain, abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis and menopause. Recently,
many exciting developments have occurred in the treatment of urinary incontinence,
alternatives to traditional hysterectomy and the management of menopause, and I am
excited to share these with my patients."

EDWARD M. BEADLE, MD

Dr. Beadle received his medical degree from the University
of Minnesota in 1982, and completed his residency at the University
of Minnesota. He is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics
and Gynecology, and is an Associate Clinical Professor of OB/GYN
at the University of Minnesota. Again this year, Minneapolis St.
Paul Magazine named Dr. Beadle as one of the top OB/GYNs in the
Twin Cities, a distinction he has held for six of the past seven
years. Dr. Beadle is also featured as a top doctor by WCCO's Dimension
health section. Dr. Beadle's wife, Patty, and three children are
all pursuing academic careers in elementary and secondary education.
After many years in business, Patty has returned to school to get
her teaching degree and license. Michael, 12, Amy, 10 and Molly,
8 are all very active in school and sports.
My View
"My practice includes general gynecology and gynecologic surgery
with special interest in the evaluation and treatment of incontinence,
chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis and infertility. My experience
has been enhanced by the great opportunity to travel the world performing
and teaching advanced surgical techniques. Although I spent many
years providing care in a more comprehensive practice, I feel that
focusing on a smaller, more concentrated area of women's health
will allow me to provide the best service to my patients."

Name:
TINA SONNEK, WHNP
Position: Women's Health Nurse Practitioner
|
|
|
Tina received her registered nursing degree from Normandale
Community College in 1989. She became a nurse practitioner in 1991
and received her board certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner
in 1996. She will complete her boards for Menopause in spring 2002.
Tina has a wide variety of experience in gynecology with women of
all ages, but specializes in the care of younger women, especially
with regard to choosing the most appropriate method of birth control.
She also has expertise in urodynamics (a specialized test to determine
the best course of action for stress incontinence) and in the treatment
of chronic vaginitis. Tina is married with two daughters. She enjoys
walking, biking, jet skiing and vacationing with her family.
My View
"I became a women's health nurse practitioner because I felt
it was important to support women in seeking appropriate care. In
general, women tend to downplay their health care because there
is somebody or something else to take care of first. When it comes
to gynecology, the problem gets worse because women are reluctant to
come forward with health issues they may find embarrassing. Knowing
there is a female practitioner available helps women open
up, and thus get the care they deserve."
